Congratulations on your upcoming graduation. This notice outlines key graduation activities and logistics for February 2026 graduates.

The University Board has confirmed that the graduation ceremony will be held once only, university-wide. There will be no college-level commencement ceremony this February. UIC will instead host a Graduation Gathering (Reception) and Group Photo Session to celebrate the occasion. (See Section 3.B for details.)

1. Gown and Album Pickup

     A. Graduation Gown and Cap Pickup

1.  Dates: Feb 13(Fri), 19(Thu), 20(Fri), 23(Mon) *Closed on weekends and during the Lunar New Year holiday
2. Time: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM *Gowns cannot be rented after 2 PM on Feb 23
3.  Venue: Room 204, Daewoo Hall Annex (대우관별관), Sinchon Campus
4.  Items to Bring
   • Yonsei Student ID card (physical or mobile)
   • Library book return confirmation (if applicable)
   • Completion of the Feb 2026 Graduate Survey (Click) 
     • Please complete the survey in advance. Your submission status will be verified on the spot. 
     • Gown laundry/storage fee: Waived for UIC students. DO NOT MAKE PAYMENT
5.  Pickup by Proxy
   • After completing the Feb 2026 Graduate Survey, submit Proxy Pickup Request form (click) in advance
   • Proxy must bring photo ID of their own and graduate's student ID number
6.  FAQs
   1. Pickup: Early or late pickup outside the designated rental period is not allowed.
   2. Return:
      • Once rented, gowns and caps may be used until the return deadline.
      • Early return is allowed; however, re-rental after return and late return beyond the designated period are not permitted.
   3. Non-graduating students, including those who have already graduated, are not eligible to rent gowns.

      B.  Graduation Album Distribution

1) Dates: February 20(Thur), 21(Fri), 24(Mon), 25(Tue)
2) Time: 09:30AM ~ 4:30 PM
3) Venue: 2nd floor of the Student Union Building(학생회관 2층), Sinchon
4) Things to bring: Your student ID card

* If someone else is picking up for you, the person must show your student ID card.
* If you didn't pay for the album fee but still want to purchase one, you may buy one as long as the album is in stock. For details, please contact the Student Welfare Student Support Team (02-2123-5121).

2. Graduation Worship Service

1. Date & Time: Sunday, February 22, 2026, 3:00 PM
2. Venue: Luce Chapel, Sinchon Campus
3. Note:
   • Attendance is not mandatory but graduates are encouraged to attend, wearing their graduation gowns. 
   • The program will be conducted in Korean, with English translation materials provided. 
   • After the service, individual commemorative photos with President Yoon will be available.

3. Graduation Day Schedule

     A. Graduation Ceremony * This university-wide ceremony is hosted by Yonsei University and will be conducted in Korean.

1.  Date & Time: Feb 23, 2026(Mon) 10:30 AM
2.  Venue: Amphitheater(노천극장), Sinchon Campus
3.  Guidelines
   • Arrive at least 10 minutes before the ceremony and follow faculty instructions on-site
   • The ceremony program distributed on-site will serve as a parking pass
4.  Degree Conferral Procedure (Bachelor's and Master’s Degrees)
   • When the degree representative goes on stage, all graduates with the same degrees should stand.
   • When the representative turns the tassel, all graduates should do the same
   • Graduates may sit after the representative exits the stage

     B. UIC Group Photos & Graduation Gathering

UIC will host group photo sessions  with light refreshments in the afternoon. Participation is optional, but please arrive 10 minutes early for your division's photo.

     C. Diploma Pickup (After Gown Return Only)

1.  Date: Feb 23(Mon) 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
2.  Venue: Room 204, Daewoo Hall Annex (대우관별관), Sinchon Campus
3.  Things to Bring
   • student ID card (physical or mobile) 
   • If not completed during the gown rental stage, please submit Feb 2026 Graduate Survey
4.  Diploma Pickup by Proxy 
   • No mailing service available
   • Submit Proxy Pickup Request form in advance
   • Proxy must bring photo ID of their own and graduate's student ID number
   • Graduate must have completed the Feb 2026 Graduate Survey  
5.  Notes:
   • Diplomas available starting from Feb 23 only.
   • Diploma issued after gown return. Failure to do return the gown may suspend online diploma issuance
   • While gown can be returned any time during the rental period, diploma cannot be picked up before Feb 23.
   • Uncollected diplomas can later be picked up at UIC Sinchon Office (Room 301, Daewoo Hall Annex)
   • A Yonsei teddy bear will be presented with the diploma.
