Greetings from UIC ISE Office,

Starting from 2026, ISED will run Organic Chemistry with a new course code that is exclusively open to ISED students only: <SED2101 ISE Organic Chemistry(1)> for Spring and <SED2102 ISE Organic Chemistry(2)> for Fall.

1. Starting from 2026, all ISED students who have to take Organic Chemistry(1)(2) must take SED2101/SED2102 to be recognized as their MB/MR/ME for the graduation requirement (refer to chart below).

2. <UIC2004 UIC Organic Chemistry(1)> and <UIC2003 UIC Organic Chemistry(2)> courses will be run by LSBT for LSBT students only, and will be counted as GE(general elective) for ISE students starting from 2026.

3. Taking UIC2003/2004 from 2026 will be exceptionally allowed to ISED retakers who previously took UIC2003/2004 before 2026 only. ISED retakers can only apply for UIC2003/2004 during the Course Add & Drop Period for remaining seats available.
